MRS JOYCE N. WALKER 

 The Late Mrs. Joyce Norwood Walker, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13) was the scripture you often heard fall from the lips of Joyce N. Walker. This was her favorite scripture and one she relied on as she kept the faith through all adversities. This woman of faith lifted a standard before each of us as she faced her daily challenges and continued to meet you with a smile. Joyce is a 1966 graduate of Frederick Douglas High School. After her children became teenagers, she completed a two year associate program at Nash Community College and continued her studies at North Carolina Wesleyan College, and 1980 she was awarded a B.S. in Education. Among her many accomplishments, she is most noted for founding the EBC Child Care Center--a child care facility that provided academic instruction in a Christian environment. Joyce N. Walker has molded the lives of many youth and continues to be a positive role model for young and old, alike. She was also a member of Tau Gamma Delta Sorority. First Lady Joyce N. Walker fought a good fight, she finished her course, she kept the faith. Now there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give. Her Legacy Lives On.............
